This season, cooler and softer color choices with subtle warm tones follow a minimalistic en plein air theme, taking a cue from nature.
As we wait with great expectations for Jamberry’s newest Spring Catalog 2015, we can always speculate about trends they will pull from for their design inspiration, specifically the colors! In years past, Jamberry has made efforts to be on top of style trends including designs that feature the Pantone Color of the Year (past years of Emerald and Radiant Orchid, this year Marsala). We can assume that they will pick out other trendy hot colors for their new catalog as well. This Spring, Pantone has released a full palette of the newest hottest colors everyone will want to wear and accessorize with.
I think in general, women are changing the way they shop. It’s more economical to keep great staples in our wardrobes and just change out the accessories. What doesn’t go with a great dark wash jean or a nude ballet flat? So treating ourselves with great colored scarves, chunky necklaces or bracelets and of course, nail wraps is a great way to stay on trend and not break the bank!
This season there is a move toward the cooler and softer side of the color spectrum. An eclectic, ethereal mix of understated brights, pale pastels and nature-like neutrals take center stage as designers draw from daydreams of simpler times. Remembrances of retro delights, folkloric and floral art, and the magical worlds of tropical landscapes restore a sense of well-being as we head into warmer months.
“Many feel compelled to be connected around the clock because we are afraid we’ll miss something important. There is a growing movement to step out and create ‘quiet zones’ to disconnect from technology and unwind, giving ourselves time to stop and be still. Color choices follow the same minimalistic, ‘en plein air’ theme, taking a cue from nature rather than being reinvented or mechanically manipulated. Soft, cool hues blend with subtle warm tones to create a soothing escape from the everyday hustle and bustle.”
